Cowboy Bebop, Dragonball, Avatar and Heath Ledger

Okay, so, four topics to cover. Let's get started.

First off, some breaking news from Anime News Network: Fox is doing a live-action adaption of Cowboy Bebop. Okay....WHAT THE EFF! Did someone have too much fun preparing for Comic-Con? Are they still on AX time? What the? Already, a heated debate is going. Will it be faithful? Will Yoko Kanno do the music? Taken directly from Zac's post in the forum, the confirmed cast list:

"Justin Chatwin as Spike
Carlos Mencia as Jet
Cameron Diaz as Faye
Elisha Dushku as Ed

And featuring Andy Serkis as Ein, using amazing motion capture technology!"

FYI, Andy Serkis is Gollum. He's cool
Justin Chatwin -playing Goku in Dragonball. Hmm, also being done by Fox. This is interesting...
Carlos Mencia-Mind of Mencia. This can not be true!
Cameron Diaz-we know her as Justin Timberlake's ex. Yeah, uh, NO!
Elusah Dushku-who are you?

Oh, this is going to be a long night for Cowboy Bebop fans.

Next, Dragonball. New pictures have been published in Japan. There are reports that Fox will be advertising it at Comic-Con this weekend. Immediate Music has made custom music for the trailer-could it be out this summer? Here's what I want-THE HARRY POTTER TRAILER! COME ON! I WANT TO SEE DAN! Plus, the movie is coming out in Japan before the States. And I thought it was an American film?

Next is my personal favorite, Avatar. The series finale was on Saturday and I watched it with tears in my eyes. If you have not watched it, SHAME ON YOU! The ending is so PERFECT! Next up in the Avatarverse is a trip to Comic-Con for the creators, airing the last two episodes and doing a Q&A. Ten bucks half of the questions will be: is there more episode on the way? Where's Zuko's mom? Why didn't Zutara win? I love Kataang! Thank you! That's all. What's with the movie? Well, the movie is currently in pre-production by the awesome M. Night You-Know-Who-He-Is. It is being called The Last Airbender after a legal dispute over some dumb movie with the title Avatar. But, that dude is James Cameron. He did bring us Titanic with Leo...
Anyway, the creators are totally okay with Nighty doing it. And so am I. He loves the show which is a bonus! Filming starts next year in Philly in May with filming then moving on to Greenland. Guess that's where the Water Tribes will be! I guessing later this year casting will begin and next year they will start to announce. Then, the fun begins!

Lastly, Heath Ledger. As we all know, he died in January. I have been watching most of his films lately and this week I'm seeing The Dark Knight. I miss you Heath.

Next installment will include: the inner workings of a writer, Haruhi Suzumiya, the latest word on new movies, Comic Con updates, and maybe some Twilighty goodness!

Well, that's all for tonight!

Till next time,

Introductions and ya ya ya

Alright, I haven't done the whole blogging thing for years, but whatever. This is a place where I guess I'll ramble on about me and all my glory...?

Oh, I do swear....

My name is Briana and I'm 16 and reside in Appleton, Wisconsin, which is considered a big city. Well, to me the big city is New York. I visited New York and would LOVE to go back! I mean, seriously, who doesn't want to live in New York. Our hotel was down the street from Simon and Schuster. I work at a bakery and hate it. I dislike a lot of things like bitchy people and rude people and people are are downright cruel. I totally love writing, music, theatre, boys, and pretty much everything that teen girls love and adore. Like High School Musical and the Jonas Brothers and Twilight! Love, love, love Twilight!

I plan on becoming a writer or either a.) best selling novels b.) tv shows or c.) movies. Or maybe all three! Who knows. I want to apply to University of the Arts in Philly (only hours away from New York!). I would also like to go to Walnut Hill my senior year to attend their creative writing division. But, I guess I might just settle down to their summer program next year, if my mom let's me apply.

Recently, I have devoured (literally DEVOURED) though Melissa de la Cruz's books. It started one day earlier in June or late May when I picked up The Au Pairs. I couldn't put it down. Honest to God, the book was as addicting as drugs (like caffeine) or as addicting as those Java Chip frappachinos (favorite drink since April 18, 2008!). I finished Crazy Hot last night, the last in the series of four. I also have ready Blue Bloods, which is an AMAZING series! Seriously, Schuyler and Jack all the way! And Angels on the Sunset Boulevard was amazing! I still have to read The Ashleys.

Another series I've loved is The Luxe. The books are so amazing. Plus, I adore the Private series by Kate Brian. And the book Poseur wasn't that bad either.

The current book I'm writing about is a play off an idea I had years ago. I discovered the old notebook last week and saw my notes about two orphaned girls living with their grandparents and going off to Arizona for spring break. I changed half of it, but it sounds good, and I hope to have the novel mostly written by the end of summer before school starts.

Alright, I think I'm done here or something. So, welcome to the first and hopefully not the last installment of Briana of Suburbia. I want out of Appleton, where pretty much no one comes from. Maybe Willem Dafoe and Harry Houdini and Edna Ferber, but times have changed. I want to see the world, not be stuck listening to Packer drama. Don't get me wrong, I love the Pack, but lately, guys.....SHUT UP!

If you want to contact me, my email is proseoverbros@yahoo.com. My myspace is myspace.com/sakura_kara. And my AIM, which I'm never on, is datelessgal14.

SO...till next time,
